2020 Dubbo Motor Bike Rally Cancelled due to COVID-19 Precautions

17th March 2020

Media Release

Dubbo Motor Bike Rally has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and after much consideration, we have made the unfortunate decision to cancel the 2020 event.

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our community and everyone involved including partners, sponsors and event attendees.

Our decision is in compliance with the Public Health Order issued by the NSW Minister of Health, which has forced the immediate cancellation of major events with more than 500 people.

Stan Single says although the committee is incredibly disappointed, it is important event organisers support government initiatives to contain the spread of this infectious disease.

‘We always strive to do the right thing for the community. We need to obey the decisions and advice of the National and NSW Chief Medical Officers,’ he said.

“It is unfortunate, but public health and safety is our main priority. The voluntary committee is incredibly disappointed at the turn of events and we hope everyone will get behind a bigger and better event next year.’

‘We acknowledge the impact this will have on businesses and the disruption to people’s plans – and we really regret this. Unfortunately this situation is unprecedented and out of our control.’

Dubbo Motor Bike Rally wishes to thank everyone for their ongoing support. We look forward to bringing the region a fantastic event in 2021.
