IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIDE!
The Dubbo Motor Bike Rally is planned for the 1st weekend in May each year following the success of the Inaugural Rally in 2019.
Dubbo is a major regional city, located in Central Western NSW and is known for its many wonderful tourist attractions.
The aim of the rally is to promote safe riding and foster all the great things that riding a bike provides – fun, freedom and camaraderie. The theatre of the motorbikes makes it a great family event.
As a guide on how to plan your Dubbo Motor Bike Rally experience, it is anticipated that you would arrive on the Friday. Dubbo has many pubs, clubs and restaurants to experience and our website will be promoting events coinciding with the rally, as well as many close attractions, generally within an easy 2 hour ride (see our maps here for suggestions).
Saturday is ‘Rally Day’. Riders will gather in ‘Bike Street’ (Talbragar Street, between Macquarie & Darling Streets, with Bike access via Macquarie or Darling St ONLY) in the Dubbo CBD for the spectacle of thousands of motorbikes in one place, along with bike related vendors, manufacturers, food & drink stalls and merchandise.
Dubbo Motor Bike Rally merchandise (t-shirts, pins, patches, etc.) will be available for sale throughout the day at our shopfront at 79 Talbragar St, adjacent the Castlereagh Hotel. Look for the teardrop signs out front.
Riders are encouraged to ‘Parade’ up & down the Main Streets throughout the weekend.
We will be providing a more detailed list of entertainment options both here and on our Facebook page as the event gets closer. If you know anyone that may be interested to provide some entertainment or have a stall to display their goodies, please let them know to complete the Application Form.
Sunday will be the day to pack the panniers and head for your next destination, wherever that may be.
Continue to visit our Facebook page as well as here on our website.
For those lucky enough to have experienced some of the world’s most famous rallies in the US like Sturgis and Lone Star – our aim is to bring a similar event to Dubbo.
We hope to see you in Dubbo at our next Annual Rally.
In 2019 we were ‘lucky’ to have seen the return to Dubbo of the ‘Merlin’, the 5000cc motorcycle, built out of 2 cylinders from a Rolls Royce Merlin V12 warplane engine, by former Dubbo resident and engineer, Lucky Keiser.
We can confirm that Lucky will be at the Rally again in 2022 as our guest.
